Event description
LivingGrief is hosting 1hr 15min group support sessions via Zoom with St Elizabeth Hospice professionals, talking about living with grief.

About this event

At LivingGrief, we understand that grief can be a strange and painful experience. In the early weeks and months of bereavement, and especially during the coronavirus pandemic, you may find yourself struggling with the challenges and feelings that accompany the grieving process.

The purpose of this online session is to:

  • Provide some information about what you might expect to experience in bereavement
  • Think about how you can best support yourself, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic
  • Chat in small groups with others that have suffered a bereavement
  • Signpost you to bereavement support service information
  • Give you the opportunity to arrange an appointment to talk with one of our trained Counsellors if needed.

About us:

LivingGrief sessions, a free service by St Elizabeth Hospice, provides support for adults following the loss of a loved one via a one-off introductory virtual group session. This can be followed up if desired with a phone call to help you access further support either with the LivingGrief service at St Elizabeth Hospice or at another service if appropriate. We hope that, by attending this session, you find a safe and supportive community that will help you with your grieving journey.

We want the session to be as accessible as possible for all, so if you, or a family member, do not have access to a laptop or tablet, the hospice has a limited number of devices that we can provide and safely deliver to your home. This service is free, and all you would need to do is select the 'Add-on's' option at the checkout. We also, where possible, like our attendees to be on camera, to help build a stronger connection with our wellbeing team and others on the session.

*Note: This service is not for crisis or emergency situations. If you are in crisis or are actively suicidal you should contact your GP. You can also contact the Samaritans at any time (free) on 116123 or visit You could also call First Response.

First Response is a 24/7 helpline offering immediate advice, support, and signposting for people with mental health difficulties. If you are experiencing something that makes you feel unsafe, distressed, or worried about your mental health, you can call the First Response helpline on 0808 196 3494.
