Join us on 29 September for a special lecture by Ghanaian-Russian photographer Liz Johnson Artur, whose new book I Will Keep You in Good Company publishes on 11 September with SPBH Editions.
Liz Johnson Artur is a photographer based in London. For over three decades, her work has focused on the richness and complexity of Black lives around the world, culminating in her ongoing Black Balloon Archive. Her work has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, New York; Foam, Amsterdam; and the South London Gallery and Serpentine Galleries, London.
Combining vivid photographs and fragments from her personal workbooks, I Will Keep You in Good Company constructs an intimate and sensory account of her evolving artistic practice from the 1990s to today, unfolding amongst friends, family, lovers, and communities.
Hosted by the RCA Photography programme in collaboration with MACK.
