In this session, we aim to introduce participants to the concept and structure of the Teaching-focusedLecturers’ Network and facilitate discussion around the contribution and relevance of Teaching-focusedLecturers in different areas of the university, drawing on the experiences and knowledge of the participants. We would also collect ideas and suggestions for an effective and relevant network of those involved in teaching and learning.

The intended learning outcomes of the session are to:

  • Demonstrate an awareness of the Teaching-focusedLecturers’ Network.
  • Explain the relationship between the Teaching-focusedLecturers’ Network and the University of Manchester Institute of Teaching & Learning.
  • Describe the contribution and relevance of Teaching-focusedLecturers in different areas of the university.
