Join us for a truely unique fundraising event for homeless and disadvantaged young people in Wales.
Sleep Out is a Challenge Event - it won't be easy but there will be plenty of entertainment and refreshments to keep spirits high and we'll wake you with hot breakfast the next day!
When? Thursday 10th November 2016 from 7pm—7am… It’s an all-nighter!
Where? We're at the Cardiff City Football Stadium!
Why? To show your support for homeless young people and help us raise much needed funds to enable us to continue to provide a lifeline to those who need our services in Wales.
What do I have to do? For just 1 night, swap your bed for a sleeping bag and experience a “good night’s sleep” on the cold, hard floor! We’re raising awareness for youth homelessness but we don’t aim to replicate it!
How much should I raise? The target is £250 per person or for example, a team of 4 should aim to hit £1000. The sponsorship money raised is absolutely vital for us to maintain our frontline services in supporting young homeless people in Wales, giving them the practical skills they need for a brighter future.
Llamau runs Sleep Out in Cardiff in the same month as other Sleep Out events taking place in cities around the UK by organisations who work with some of the most vulnerable young people in our society.
You will experience the discomfort of trying to sleep on cardboard boxes on a hard, cold floor during the winter. But while Sleep Out is a fundraising event designed to raise awareness of homelessness and the funds to help us tackle it, it does not claim to replicate homelessness in anyway.
