Lloyd's Register Cyber Enabled Ship Seminar
Tue 4 April 2017, 09:30 – 15:30 CEST
Lloyd’s Register and Wartsila have the pleasure to invite you to our Cyber Enabled Ship Seminar. ICT (Information and Communications Technology) is revolutionising shipping, bringing with it a new era – the ‘cyber-enabled’ ship.
ICT systems have the potential to enhance safety, reliability and business performance. However there are threats and numerous risks that need to be identified, understood and mitigated to make sure that technologies are safely integrated into ship design and operations. From the human element to the cyber risk we will provide an overview of them.
As a trusted provider of safety assurance to the marine industry, Lloyd’s Register is ready to help all stakeholders in the cyber-enabled ship market to ensure that ICT is deployed to safely operate and the information are protected from potential attacks and threats.
This seminar provides an excellent networking opportunity with the aim to freely discuss the challenges which regulatory bodies, shipowners, shipyards, manufacturers, and classification societies face.
