LMB-UNIGE Graduate Life Sciences Symposium 2020
Event Information
About this Event
A global student symposium showcasing cutting-edge research from across the Life Sciences, held jointly by graduate students at the MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK and this year’s partner institute, the University of Geneva.
The programme consists of themed sessions including speakers from diverse fields such as structural biology, cell and developmental biology, bioengineering and neurobiology. In addition, there will be a talk series and interactive workshop focusing on publication, and keynote perspectives by Nobel Laureate Peter Ratcliffe.
The symposium includes opportunities for scientific discussion and networking with speakers during a drinks reception, informal pub night, catered lunches and coffee breaks. There will also be two optional events: an organized punting trip, and a subsidized formal dinner at Christ's College.
Additionally, students will have the chance to communicate their research through giving talks, presenting posters at an evening session with wine and cheese, and participating in a ‘three-minute-thesis’ competition.
