About this event
- Event lasts 1 hour
There are still nearly 300 children who need loving parents in Waltham Forest. We urgently need more carers for the young people in our borough. This online event is a great chance to find out more about fostering with Waltham Forest in an informal environment and to learn how you can make a life changing difference to a local young person.
There will be a short presentation by a Social Worker and Foster Carer, which will cover:
- Why children sometimes are not able to stay with their birth families
- The assessment process
- The Waltham Forest support and training package for foster carers
And lots more. This will be followed by a Q&A session where you may ask any questions you have to the team and the experienced foster carer.
Please click on 'Get Tickets' and complete the short order form, then a joining link will be emailed to you.
Waltham Forest are part of the Local Community Fostering service, a network of four northeast London boroughs (Havering, Redbridge and Tower Hamlets) with an ambition to inspire more people from all walks of life, to become foster carers.
