We invite you to join BES to help celebrate the success and achievements of our Local Enterprise Coaches project and the new local businesses we've helped startup since we began.

lec networking

The Local Enterprise Coaches project is a highly successful coaching service for helping residents in the Staffordshire area start their own business.  Over the last 3 years, our coaches have met and engaged with local entrepreneurs to help them achieve their goals of becoming self-employed.  Through our personal support using one-to-one consultations, workshops and our very popular BES Buddies networking sessions, our clients have created some very successful businesses.  From humble beginnings, the project has expanded to 8 coaches and covers the whole of the Staffordshire region.

This event is to recognise and celebrate the overall success of the project and the achievements of of the individual entrepreneurs themselves who have started their own business with the help and support of the Coaches.

There will be informal networking and an overview of the 3 years of the Coaching project by Gemma Bee, Operations & Finance Director at BES and from Steve Lovatt from Stoke-on-Trent City Council City on the success of the partnership with the Council.  There will also be short talks from our clients who have received coaching support descibing their startup journeys.

Organiser

BES - Stoke-on-Trent

Business Enterprise Support (BES) are a social enterprise; a non-profit organisation aiming to help people of all backgrounds, to become self-employed.

We’ve been established since 1983 so we know a thing or two about the vital information people need when starting any new business. We’ve helped everyone from gardeners to computer programmers; from artists to plumbers; from cleaners to photographers. We’ve helped them all.

We appreciate that the first few months of being self-employed are the most important and also the most stressful. Preparation and planning are key to your new business’ success. We can show you what to expect and give you the skills required to have the confidence to succeed, ensuring you cover all bases before you start trading.
