Event description

Description

The Strength2Food partnership are delighted to invite you to join in the discussion that will see locally landed fish on our dinner plates and restaurant menus in the North East.

- This event will bring together experts from the food and fishing industries who will be sharing their expertise, knowledge and understanding about the supply chain.

- This event is all about kick-starting the development of a new approach that will see a wider variety and some of those lesser-known (but delicious!) locally landed fish on our menus.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with like-minded people interested in working together to build a strong community of businesses and individuals who want to have an impact on the fishing supply chain.

A FREE lunch for all attendees will be provided by Harissa Kitchen, an Award-Winning Social Enterprise based in Sandyford, Newcastle at the start of the event.

WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?

Everyone who has an interest in getting more fish on the menu is welcome to join the event!!

We'd love to see a mixture of consumers, local business, local fish/fishing experts and voluntary sector organisations all come together to share their thoughts and ideas.

THIS EVENT IS ORGANISED BY FOOD NATION AND NEWCASTLE UNIVERSITY AS PART OF THE EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROGRAMME, STRENGTH 2 FOOD www.strength2food.eu
