This course will introduce to a range of funders who have a particular interest in funding voluntary sector organisations located in and operating in Liverpool or Merseyside.
This course will consider the eligibility criteria, application format and key steps required to plan and submit an application to funders including: the Rathbone Trusts; the Community Empowerment Fund (Local Solutions); Community Impact Fund (LCVS); the Hemby Trust; the John Moore’s Foundation; the PH Holt Foundation and the Johnson Foundation.
The course will be particularly useful for funders from registered charities and CIC’s located in Liverpool or Merseyside * ( * Not all funders listed will fund CIC’s).
You will develop the knowledge and skills required to tailor your application to the funders requirements and priorities and will learn how to articulate a persuasive case for your project.
In particular, this will involve:
- Understanding how to design and develop your project ideas
- Getting to grips with different grant making processes
- Framing your project ideas/organizational needs with reference to funder priorities
- Understanding how to evidence need and develop project outcomes
- Explore methods to develop your project budget
- Explore techniques for writing high quality funding applications
