If you are a councillor, council officer or you are involved in flood risk management for your local authority, local community or organisation you may want to attend the next meeting of the Local Government Flood Forum (LGFF) on Friday, 3 November 2017 in London.

The LGFF is the UK’s independent local government voice on flooding matters. We work to give our members up-to-date information and intelligence from policy makers.

The LGFF organises events addressed by leading figures from local government, central government, academia, key national organisations and the private sector.


On the agenda:

  • Matt Crossman & Tom Bradbury, National Infrastructure Commission, looks at infrastructure investment on Flood Risk Management and provides update on National Infrastructure Assessment.

  • Enrico Isnenghi & Matt Jessop, WSP, discuss biodiversity in the city - a SuDs perspective
  • Bob Bray, Robert Bray Associates, looks at the coming of age for SuDs
  • AECOM, discuss Leceister City Council - discusses the impact of surface water flooding in Leicester.(tbc)


And we will be getting updates from...

  • Environment Agency will provide a general update to the Group.
  • Andy Johnston, LGFF, looks at this year's floods and the lessons learned
