About this event

Voted the 9th best British Film by Empire, we are pleased to invite you to join us for a special screening of Local Hero in the village made famous by the film, Pennan.

We are also following the showing with a Ceilidh - if you follow our facebook you will know the Pennan residents love nothing more than a good fling around the floor!

This special event will be the first use of our brand new film equipment and we hope more events like it will follow!

Timings are TBC but we have provided the current draft plan below. The film has a running time of 1:51mins

Refreshments

  • Tea & Coffee will be available for a small donation on the night.
  • Feel free to bring your own refreshments

Some film memorabilia will be available for viewing on the night.

We look forward to sharing this special event with you all.

Frequently asked questions

What are the arrangements for parking?

We have a small car park outside the village hall and will endeavour to assist as many visitors as possible to find a suitable parking space in the car park and surrounding area. If you are coming as a group we suggest car sharing to reduce the amount of vehicles.

Can we film at the event?

No we are not allowing any filming at the event in order to satisfy our licence. We will do a group picture at the start of the event and post to our social media which you are welcome to share. Please refer to our full terms and conditions (in main description) for more details.
