The Local Leadership & PtO course is an alternative safeguarding leadership pathway, and is designed for:

  • Retired clergy who wish to maintain their license but are not acting as parish priest during an interregnum at the time they renew their leadership course
  • Leaders of small groups within parishes that involve children, young people or vulnerable adults
  • Bell ringer tower Captains/leaders
  • Healing ministry/home ministry team leaders
  • Foodbank team leader
  • Messy Church team leaders
  • Music and worship masters/leaders
  • Assistant PSOs
  • Spiritual directors

If you are not sure which course to register for, please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding team via safeguarding.admin@portsmouth.anglican.org in order to discuss your requirements.

The course is delivered in one 3-hour session, either via Zoom or face to face. Please check Eventbrite details carefully. The course includes a requirement for pre and post course tasks.
