Local Voluntary Sector Network Forum

Join us at the next Local Voluntary Sector Network Forum in Chesham on Thursday 4th September 2025 (4-6pm). This forum will give you the chance to meet with other Bucks charities and community groups, discuss local issues, and share insights.

About the event

Our next session will be held in Chesham and provides a forum for charities and groups to discuss organisational issues that they may be facing. Some of the areas highlighted at previous Local Voluntary Sector Network meetings include:

  • Prioritising and managing workloads
  • Finding local funding opportunities
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Raising the profile of your organisation, particularly through social media
  • Engaging young people
  • Utilising digital and AI for small charities

It is also a great opportunity to network with peers in an informal setting. Contact details will be shared with attendees following the forum, so please make sure to include these in your registration form.

Who should attend?

Individuals and groups involved with Bucks-based charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises that are based and/or provide services in Buckinghamshire are welcome.

Both new and established organisations, of all sizes, are welcome and we encourage all groups to share their experiences with others.

About the Local Voluntary Sector Networks

The Local Voluntary Sector Network Forums are informal events which take place throughout Buckinghamshire, and online.

They are set up to enable Bucks-based charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises to share information and collaborate on the local issues that matter most.

If you are involved in the voluntary sector in Buckinghamshire, this informal space is open to discuss local needs and explore opportunities for change.

The Forums are facilitated by Community Impact Bucks, but the focus and topics are driven by the local groups based on the priorities of their communities.

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking on-site?

Yes, free parking is available on-site. This includes accessible spaces.

I can't make the forum, can I still receive the meeting notes?

Unfortunately, resources will only be shared with those who are in attendance.

Why has the time and venue changed?

Feedback from previous Forums is that not everyone who would like to attend are able to due to the previous late timings or the locations. We want these Forums to be as accessible as possible to all charitable organisations in Bucks.

Will there be time for networking?

Yes, there will be plenty of time for networking! We encourage everyone to bring along business cards and any other details they wish to share in person. We will also share contact details (with permission) to facilitate collaboration outside of the Forums.

How will we be able to get in touch with other participants?

Please make sure that you enter any details you wish to share in the registration form - there is a specific question which asks for these details. Participant details will be shared after the Forum. Any personal details outside of this question will not be shared unless specifically stated by you.
