Back by popular demand after 2 years away, the Fun Run Series is a great series of running races where children can race against their friends and the clock. Entry to the Fun Run Series is free and with a number of different venues there is a series near you!
Fun Runs are open to all, so if you can't make it to the Lochside event then why not sign up for another Fun Run on a different day!
P1-P3 races are 400m in length; P4s run 800m and those in P5-7 have the choice of running either 800m or 1600m. All runners will receive a participation medal if they run on at least 3 race dates at a single venue.
The top boys and girls in each P4-P7 age group will be invited to the Champion of Champions Event in June.
You will receive a confirmation email once you have booked your tickets. Your Active Schools Coordinator will then be in touch nearer the date of the first race.
Loirston Race Information:
Race dates: Fridays 13th, 20th & 27th May; Thursday 2nd June
Approximate race times:
3.30-3.45pm: P1-3 (400m);
3.45-4.00pm: P4 (800m) & P5-7 (800m);
4.00-4.15pm: P5 (1600m);
4.15-4.30pm: P6-7 (1600m).
Venue: Loirston School field, Loirston Avenue, Cove Bay, Aberdeen, AB12 3HE.

Please note that Active Schools Aberdeen facilitate activities for children from local authority schools in Aberdeen City. Children who do not attend these schools are still free to enter the Fun Run Series but will not be eligible to take part in the Champion of Champions event. For these pupils, after you have registered, please contact activeschools@sportaberdeen.co.uk for further clarification.
