Join Habitat, Hallmark & John Lewis & Partners as they discuss the trends they have seen from a year of lockdown living, how this has influenced their designs and what this means coming out of the pandemic.

Moderator: Davinder Madaher
Davinder Madaher is a Freelance Textile designer and Consultant. With over 25 years' experience in designing prints for both Fashion and Homeware. Davinder started his career in New York working for various print studios with his designs sold to top US brands such as The Gap, Liz Clairbourne and Victoria’s Secret to name a few.
On his return to the UK Davinder has worked and sold his designs to some of the major UK retailers including Marks & Spencer's, Debenhams, Next, Shop direct, Tesco's and more recently Sainsburys where he was Senior Print Designer designing prints on both Womenswear and Homeware.
His work has also been featured in various magazines including Marie Claire, Grazia, Look magazine, Living Etc, House & Garden, House Beautiful, Style at Home, Country Homes & Interiors. Davinder has also been a guest on BBC Asian Network and featured in the Book 'Printed Textiles' by Amanda briggs Goode as well as various bloggers websites.
Davinder continues to Consult and Design for various brands as well as a popular speaker at Universities.
Davinder is passionate about Education and is often invited to speak at various Universities across the country and has been a Judge and Speaker at Graduate Fashion Week and New Designers as well Key speaker in Paris at Premier Vision Show.
He also runs a creative business with his partner Caroline.

Over 25 years in the greetings industry through a background in typography & communication. With many varied roles in Hallmark – and almost 20 years heading up the Toy Category for our M&S account – designing and bringing to life a breadth of puzzles, games, soft, wooden and plastic toys. Laterally part of the Innovation / Trend team for the wider Hallmark brand – using insights and macro trends to challenge our thinking and evolve the category.
Sarah O’Sullivan, John Lewis & Partners
Sarah works as trend expert as part of the Home Product team within John Lewis & Partners. Her main area of research involves macro trends, alongside style and interior trends, and together with the colour, material and finish expert, sets the direction for own brand product development.
Before joining the partnership, Sarah worked as a textile designer for both fashion and interiors. She has a love of colour and style and a passion for developing products that customers will love.
