About this event
Lockdown & Me is a thought-provoking virtual exhibition curated and produced by local creative practitioner Sharon Race following workshops with young and older people in Newcastle who produced art relating to their experiences, good and bad, of the Covid-19 Lockdown.
A pop up exhibition of the project will simultaneously run at Newcastle City Library at New Bridge Street, NE1 8AX from Thursday 5th May until Thursday 19th May 2022.
Both exhibitions will celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week Monday 9th May to Sunday 15th May 2022 ahead of the digitised work being donated to Tyne & Wear Archives for their collection.
The launch event is free to attend and all are welcome.

Sharon Race is an award nominated creative practitioner, focusing on film making; writing and performance; community art projects.
At the forefront of her work is building innovative, exciting projects engaging with people of all abilities and strengths to participate, be included, learn and have fun.
She is passionate about community, giving people the opportunity to be listened to and have their experiences validated.
