About this event

This online BSA event celebrates the publication of Lockdown Shakespeare: New Evolutions in Performance and Adaptation (Bloomsbury, 2022), edited by Gemma Kate Allred, Benjamin Broadribb, and Erin Sullivan. The event will feature the editors in conversation with some of the creatives who produced the digital performances and adaptations that are addressed in the book: Ben Crystal (The Shakespeare Ensemble), Rob Myles (The Show Must Go Online), Sid Phoenix (CtrlAltRepeat), Zoe Seaton (Big Telly Theatre Company), Giles Stoakley (Creation Theatre Company), and Yu Umemiya (Waseda University).

Gemma Kate Allred is a doctoral candidate at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Benjamin Broadribb is a doctoral candidate at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, UK.

Erin Sullivan is a Reader in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, UK.
