Event description

Description

The first leg of the London to Makkah ride will be London 2 Paris. This event will set off from City Hall, London and take in the London sights as we head for the Newhaven port.

The tour will be 2 days in length cycling roughly 180 Miles in total. You will be joined by brothers from across the country and have plenty of opportunities to build brotherhood and friendships along the way.

Our first stop over will be Dieppe, France where we will rest for the night and continue next morning onto our final destination to the iconic Eifel Tower in Paris.

This part of our London 2 Makkah ride where a group of brothers will be cycling from London to Makkah in time to perform their Hajj.

Reg Fees: £30

Fundraising Target: £500

Deadline for registration: June 11th 2017

The charity will bear the costs of accommodation, breakfast, dinner and transportation during the 2-day tour and include a cycle jersey. The tour will also have a support vehicle which will transport your bike on the journey back to London and will be available in any case of emergency.

We will cross the channel by ferry and return by Eurostar. Please bear in mind that the transport methods may change due to availability.

Children of the World

The aim is to raise as much money and awareness for our children of the world campaign which encompasses all the vulnerable children projects in the world.

Street Children – Bangladesh & Pakistan

We have rescued over 1,000 children from the streets of Bangladesh and reunited over 200 with their families. These children have been abandoned by their parents or have been trafficked into the most unspeakable situation including bonded labor and the sex trade.

The project also works with vulnerable children who have no choice but to work in hazardous conditions in back alley factories and rubbish dumps. Our project rescues these children with an aim to send them to mainstream schools while helping their families.

Children of War – Syrian Children

Children as young as 5-6 have been exposed to the horrors of war, death, and destruction. They have sometimes lost all family members and traveled from Syria to Lebanon with strangers.

These children are supported through our orphan sponsorship program which supports their education, clothing, shelter and food.

We have also included psychosocial support as part of their treatment and rehabilitation from the deep trauma they have suffered during the war.
