Emotional Trauma is fast becoming an important social issue and it is likely to increase in its importance in years to come. The impact of trauma can be seen from birth through to final years. The eminent writers and practitioners in the trauma field all point to the importance of understanding what creates an emotional trauma, and the implications of trauma imprints on the mind, body, identity and personality.
Day 1 we will explore the dynamics of Emotional Trauma, including sessions on the neuroscience of trauma and particularly natal trauma. We will also explore the Identity oriented Psychotrauma Theory of Professor Franz Ruppert and its related Intention Method of therapy, Other topics will include:
- Infant bonding and trauma- how does the bonding and attachment of infants shape their physiology and psychology
- Mind/body connection and trauma- the trauma emergency process and trauma imprints
- Identity and trauma- the affect on inner Identity- 'who am I' as a result of trauma
- Identity oriented Psychotrauma Therapy-an experiential modality that accesses trauma imprints for healing
Day 2 we will work experientially with the IoPT theory. Using the Self Inquiry and Encounter of the Intention Method, working sessions will bring the theory to life using issues pertinent to participants. We will also explore IoPT in 1:1 work and group sessions.
