Empowering Teenagers with Communication Skills
This two hour workshop is for parent carers and families of autistic children or adults, as part of an Autism Hub.
Our Empowering Teenagers with Communication Skills workshop will cover:
• Supporting communication skills, understanding inferred or hidden information and nuanced speech
• Staying safe online - understanding the dangers of Social Media communication
• Helping teenagers to self-advocate with pratical tips and strategies to support your teen.
Join this workshop to meet other local parents and develop your understanding around autism. This workshop will be held on Zoom. If you prefer to not be visible or audible on screen that is fine by us. This workshop is delivered by people with lived experience of autism. As a parent, carer and/or are autistic themselves
