In 1666, almost the entire City of London was destroyed by fire. Soon Sir Christopher Wren was giving the ruined City a serious make-over. Medieval London was lost forever.

Or was it?

Walking the narrow streets of the City, we tune in to echoes of an earlier London, one of wine and wardrobes, trade and theatricals. This is a London of Plantagenets and Tudors, of Richard Whittington and Thomas Cromwell.

Meet outside the entrance to Blackfriars underground station, on the corner of Queen Victoria Street and New Bridge Street.

The tour will take approximately 2 hours, and finishes on Bishopsgate near Liverpool Street and Bank Stations.
