International Trade After Brexit – Implications for the UK Oil and Gas Industry

Speakers:

  • Ben Digby
    International and Trade Director, CBI
  • The Politics of Brexit: Money, People and Power – Matt Duhan, Adviser, Global Counsel
Matthew will provide an overview of the key political decisions and trade-offs that will shape the outcomes in the UK’s negotiation to leave the EU and in establishing new economic, political and trading relationships with the EU and other partners.
  • Silke Goldberg
    Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills
As part of a truly global industry, the success of the UK’s oil and gas sector relies upon the right trading relationships with the rest of the world. Not only do we need to be able to access the right goods and services from elsewhere, but our own supply chain already boasts exports worth £16 billion each year.
What is more, with its world-leading technology and expertise, the UK industry has ambitious plans and strong potential to grow its exports business significantly in the coming years.

This event will explore what Brexit might mean for the sector, ponder what the UK’s future trading relationships might look like and provide insights into the political and legal drivers at play.

Reasons to attend:

  • Grow your understanding of what the UK’s future trading relationships might look like
  • Find out what your business should be considering as you think about your future export plan
