LONDON CALLING: 'BBC bias during the 2014 Scottish independence referendum'
Date and time
Description
Based on the book by GP Ponsonby, 'London Calling – 'BBC bias during the 2014 Scottish Independence referendum', chronicles the descent of the BBC in Scotland from a once trusted broadcaster to an organisation so despised that thousands of ordinary Scots marched on its Scottish HQ in protest at what they saw as its anti-independence bias.
Among featured contributors are Paul Kavanagh (Wee Ginger Dug) and Craig Murray (Former British ambassador to Uzbekistan). The journey is signposted by several key political events and explores examples of the BBC's coverage.
YES Stirling are excited to be hosts for the screening of the crowd-funded documentary “London Calling” by the film-maker Alan Knight, based on the book by GP Ponsonby. We are also pleased to welcome Alan as our guest speaker to engage in a discussion after the film. The running time of the documentary is 70mins and will start as soon after 7pm as we can.

Lest we forget the biased role played by the BBC during the first independence referendum.
