Description

The London Cancer HPB board is hosting a Pancreas educational event on the morning of 12th July. This is a great opportunity to hear from, and ask question of, leaders in the field of pancreatic cancer. It is free to join for all staff within our network (as well from those Trusts that refer to the Royal Free and Royal London SMDTs).

The full agenda is to follow but topics will include the following;

  • Pancreatic pseudocysts – How best to manage them
  • Acute pancreatitis – What to treat locally and what to refer to a specialist unit
  • Chronic Pancreatitis – The case for a specialist service
  • Recent advances in ERCP/EUS
  • Cystic tumours of the pancreas – Diagnosis and management
  • Chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer – Is there a role for neoadjuvant therapy in resectable disease?
  • Pancreatic NETs
  • Management of the post-pancreatectomy patient in the community

Registration will begin at 9.00 with the session starting at 9.30, and finishing at 13.00 followed by lunch.
