About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

A sociable guided walk filled with royal parks, famous bridges, and pretty much every landmark worth seeing in central London.

Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Borough Market, Tower of London and a whole bunch of other great sights (including some secret spots most people miss..)

And we'll finish at a 250-year-old pub after walking across Tower Bridge :)

This is a join-in tour with a friendly guide to lead the way and keep things moving. It isn't a normal walking tour with long history speeches, but there will be a bit of storytelling along the way :)

The hike takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the speed of the group. And it covers around 7.5 miles so wear your walking shoes.

Tourists and locals are all welcome!

Frequently asked questions

How fit do I need to be for the City Hike?

This City Hike tour covers approx. 7.5 miles/12 km and we move at an average walking pace with a few short breaks if needed. You don't need to be a superhero walker, but a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring some drinking water and any snacks you need for the walk. You should also wear trainers/comfortable walking shoes, and be prepared for whatever the British weather is serving up that day :)

Can I bring my kids?

Kids are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult. We recommend ages 12+ due to the distance involved.

Is the city hike wheelchair-friendly?

We're working on it, but for now the route is not particularly wheelchair-friendly (sorry!).

Where and when do we meet?

The city hike starts at 10.30am. We'll meet inside Waterloo Train Station, next to Boots Pharmacy (between the entrances to platforms 11 and 12). Your guide will be holding a flag.

How many people will be on the hike?

We're capping the numbers at 20 guests (plus your guide)

Are drinks at the pub included?

No, any food or drinks are at your own expense. The pub is really nice and pretty reasonably priced by London standards. They also do food Mon-Fri if you're hungry.
