Event description

Description

Would you like to explore what mission in a moving world looks like in practice?

During a time when the migration of reguees and asylum seekers is on the rise, we'll be considering how best to minister to those displaced from hearth and home. Christians have an important role in bringing hope to a broken world at a time when political forces are driving global polarisation - we can reach across divides and bring unity!

Is God calling you to explore what this means for you and your church? Join us for part of a day or the whole week - it’s up to you!

Daily teaching sessions are held at London City Mission’s (LCM) head office. Afternoon sessions involve visits to various ministries and the chance to interact with those on the front-lines.

Topics for the week:

  • Understanding refugees as a people group;
  • Multicultural mission, multicultural church;
  • Stress, trauma and PTSD;
  • Case studies: New arrivals & those with Indefinite Leave to Remain;
  • A study of Habakkuk, and,
  • Interviews.
