London Java Community UnConference 2025

By Barry on behalf of the London Java Community

Overview

The London Java Community are back with the 20th LJC Unconference

The London Java Community (LJC) 20th UnConference 2025 is your chance to take the stage, share ideas, ask questions, and collaborate with fellow developers in an open, participant-driven format.

This isn’t a traditional conference. There’s no fixed speaker lineup: the attendees build the agenda together. This is your space to connect, learn, and contribute.

What to Expect

  • Community-Led Sessions: Attendees propose and vote on sessions in the morning. Topics range from JVM performance and AI in Java to developer culture and career growth.
  • Keynote: We’ll start the day with a short keynote from REDIS to help set the tone and kick off the event
  • Food and Drinks: A light breakfast, lunch, and early-evening snacks and drinks are included.
  • Sponsors and Swag: Several LJC sponsors will be present with giveaways and community updates.
  • After Hours: Informal, self-funded social gathering nearby once we wrap up — details announced on the day.

When and Where

  • Date: Saturday, 6 December 2025
  • Time: Doors open 9:00am, sessions start 9:30am, closing around 5:00–6:00pm
  • Location: Redis London

Who Should Attend

Developers, architects, students, and anyone in the Java ecosystem. Whether you’ve been writing Java for decades or are just starting out, the LJC UnConference is the perfect place to learn from your peers and share your own experiences.

The LJC is committed to being an open, inclusive, and welcoming community. If it’s your first UnConference, we’ll help you get comfortable and involved — no speaking experience required.

Tickets

Tickets cost £35, which covers food, refreshments, and other costs. Spaces are limited and this event usually sells out, so early booking is recommended.

Join us for a day of ideas, collaboration, and conversation — and help shape the discussions that will define the Java community in 2025.

Thanks to our LJC Sponsors Neo4j, Discover, Redis, and Hazelcast for supporting this event and helping make it possible.
