The London Leadership Academy launches an exciting new course for patients and carers on clinical commissioning groups (CCGs)
Entitled “The Effective Lay Partner,” this three-day course is designed to enhance the contribution of patients and carers, who have ‘lay partner’ or ‘lay member’ roles in any of London’s CCGs. Participants will develop their skills in negotiation, influencing, committee work, teamwork and representing the views of others. They will learn about the challenges that face the NHS. The course will be highly interactive throughout and will include case studies and simulations. There will be the opportunity to work with experienced lay partners, patient leaders and a range of professionals, from Darzi Fellows to senior clinicians and managers.
Applicants should be available for ALL three dates and time 09.30-4.30pm. These dates are:
> Monday 9th January 2017
> Tuesday 24th January 2017
> Monday 6th March 2017
Places are strictly limited to 45 patients and carers with lay partner roles in London CCGs.
