DATA MANAGEMENT SUMMIT - IT'S DATA SIR, BUT NOT AS WE KNOW IT
Free for all Market Practitioners
As a sector, we're not immune to change but it is probably fair to say that we don't often prepare for it that well or indeed handle it in the best way.
Decisions, whether at strategic, underwriting, risk or financial level are based on facts, material information and insights, much of which has been gathered using traditional methods. In more recent times, businesses have started relying on new and emerging sources, powered by the digital revolution and the power of the Internet. The shape, face and size of data populations used for business decision making is changing and this will require a different approach, attitude and increasingly sophisticated tools.
The data that we're receiving and managing is increasing by factors, not percentages, on a year by year basis and with the Internet of Things upon us, a new dawn is fast approaching where the business landscape will change quite significantly, in terms of our understanding of the world around us, the risks that we face and the new opportunities open to us. Join us at the prestigious City of London Club for this special session as we look at the changing face of data and possible consequences for our sector and businesses.
Hear from our keynote speaker Professor Roger Maull
Professor of Digital Economy Research Centre
followed by experts from Altep, Peer1 and Datalytyx
The event will commence at 3.30pm at The City of London Club, with talks, conversation and debate through to 5.30pm, followed by one of our popular networking drinks receptions until 7.30pm.
