Event description

Description

This event could literally change your life and put the focus back onto your own health and wellbeing, so that you can be a healthier, more effective humanitarian worker.

ARE YOU THE HUMANITARIAN HELPER WHO HAS FORGOTTEN TO HELP YOURSELF?

Do you feel that your humanitarian work has taken a toll on your emotions, mental health and/or physical health in some way?

Do you sometimes find that you feel guilty about having fun and doing “normal” things when there is so much suffering going on in the world? Do you think about the people you have met and the situations you have witnessed and it haunts you?

Have the relationships with your friends and family suffered as a result of your humanitarian work? Do you feel somewhat socially isolated or misunderstood about this area of your life, perhaps unable to have simple fun?

Maybe you’ve even lost important relationships because of your work? Maybe you find “normal” social discussions shallow, or meaningless? Perhaps you feel that the only people who really understand and support you are fellow humanitarians?

THE EVER-PRESENT RISK OF BURNOUT

Are you worried that you are at risk of burnout? Do you fear that you may be losing control of your personal and/or professional life?

Have you already burnt out and can’t seem to tolerate even the slightest bit of stress? Have you changed and don’t understand how, but feel this is affecting your life?

THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

It doesn’t have to be this way. What if there were simple, quick, proven techniques you could use that would make you more resilient, better able to spring back? How would it feel if you knew exactly what your daily limits were, and how to avoid exceeding them?

What if you were given strategies that helped you to cope with feelings of guilt and disconnectedness? If you could learn how to evaluate the emotional investments you make, before you find yourself completely drained?

How good would it feel to be able improve your energy levels, your relationships and your mental and physical health and be yourself again?
