"We have to transcend our differences to transform our future."— António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations
✨ Free entry ~ all are welcome!
The UK is facing tremendous challenges: communities divided along political and cultural lines, misinformation fuelling mistrust, young people facing violence and uncertainty, and human rights concerns going unheard. In London especially, one of the most diverse cities in the world, we face urgency to create spaces and platforms where people can truly unite, discuss, and act for peace.
That is why this September, we will join more than 130 countries worldwide to mark the 11th Annual Commemoration of the HWPL World Peace Summit, first held in 2014.
The London Peace Festival 2025 is a chance to stand side by side for peace and celebrate the organisations and individuals who are working to acheive it together, from all over the UK and from many different sectors. The event will be co-hosted at Buddhapadipa Temple, Wimbledon, the first Thai Buddhist temple built in the United Kingdom, and a beautiful and serene site that represents cross-cultural respect and cooperation.
What to expect
- Inspiring performances by local community groups and peace advocates
- Interactive peace booths addressing youth violence, education, women's rights & other global issues
- Engaging speeches on building stronger, kinder communities
