Welcome to the London Photo Walk! Join us for a full filled day of capturing the beauty of the city through your lens. This in person walking event we’ll start at the iconic Barbican location before we head into the City of London and finishing at Smithfield Market. Whether you're a beginner looking to improve your skills or a seasoned photographer wanting to explore new perspectives, this event is perfect for you. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts and create stunning images together. You can use your phone or grab your camera and let's explore London together!
What to Expect:
Explore 3 Unique Locations: We'll take you to 3 locations starting at Barbican, moving through into the City of London and finishing at Smithfield Market.
Street Photograph: Street photography captures day to day life of real people going about their lives: freezing moments of time. Smartphones bring accessibility to all of us to take part in street photography as well as digital cameras.
Comfortable Shoes: We’ll be walking from place to place and recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
Weather-Appropriate Clothing: As we can’t guarantee the British weather, we recommend wearing layers and bringing a raincoat just in case. Umbrella’s end up getting in the way when you are trying to photograph, so we’d leave those at home.
Taking Breaks: We’ll stop for lunch and refreshments as the group wants to. If you’d like to bring snacks and your lunch or grab on the go it’s up to you. We would always recommend bringing a bottle of water.
Connect with Fellow Photographers: This event isn't just about photography; it's a chance to socialise with like-minded individuals who share your passion for capturing the world through a lens.
Camera Settings Simplified: Don't worry about technical camera details. Most settings will be on auto to ensure you can focus on snapping those captivating street shots. We'll encourage you to test out some settings, so that you can see the different in photos.
