Overview
This showcase is open to the general public. The Dark Horse Festival showcases the best unproduced scripts in London, selected by London Playwrights Workshop. The showcase will feature rehearsed readings of script excerpts of five new plays from the most exciting new voices in London. Selected through nominations from new writing theatres and contacts with emerging playwrights, this script festival shows the wide range of London’s playwriting talent, and celebrates the new work being created in this community.

London Playwrights Workshop Ltd is a not-for-profit company that was set up in 2015 to connect emerging writers with the best opportunities, advice, and resources. The company is run by playwrights, for playwrights, and focuses on empowering theatremakers to create their own work. In addition to running workshops and events, LPW manages London Playwrights Blog, which supports writers in achieving their creative and practical goals.
