Speakers Profile:

Jonathon Wright - @Jonathon_Wright

Jonathon has over 15 years of commercial automation experience. He contributed to a number of best-selling books including "Experiences of Test Automation: Case studies of Software Test Automation" by Dorothy Graham and Mark Fewster.

The Digital Evolution: Test Ops Blueprints

The IT landscape is changing forever: traditional Core IT approach to providing business value through testing within the solution delivery lifecycle is constantly being changed. The drive towards embracing Fluid IT through open innovation calls for new models to support the rapid adoption of DevOps. Accelerated communication, collaboration, integration, measurement and automation (build and test) are critical elements in every organisation’s journey to digital engineering enablement..

Declan O'Riodan -  @DeclanTestingIT

Declan O’Riordan has worked in IT since 1981 and testing since 1987. At his debut EuroSTAR conference speaking opportunity in 2014 he won the prize for best conference paper and was voted the session delegates would most like repeated with ‘The What? Why? Who? And How? Of Application Security’.  Declan subsequently won the prize for best conference paper at the STAR East conference in 2015 with ‘Security Testing: What Testers Can Do’. His ambition is to develop better communications between project teams and security specialists to prevent application security risks being ignored.

Application Security in an Agile and DevOps Environment

Application Security skills inside the teams developing, deploying, and maintaining IT systems are now so far behind the skills of attackers it’s hard to see how we will ever catch up. Agile and DevOps seem to have exacerbated the problem as scarce security resources try to deliver piecemeal solutions to ever more frequent releases. But is the problem really our attachment to outdated security strategies?

Let’s consider an alternative future that could catapult security forward by decades. Contemplate switching from erratically targeted negative security testing to positive security attribute testing. We can sew together existing technology to build a suite of whole-enterprise portfolio security sensors proving real-time monitoring and huge long-term cost savings. Suddenly DevOps and Security make perfect sense!

Rob Lambert - @Rob_Lambert

Rob Lambert is an Engineering Manager building a forward thinking, creative and awesome development team at NewVoiceMedia. He’s a serial blogger writing about all things product development and testing at

10 Behaviours of an Effective Employee

In this talk I will walk through the 10 behaviours that make an effective employee. Not everyone exhibits all 10. And some effective employees exhibit just one or two. But in my experience, every effective employee shows at least one of these behaviours. If you’re not…..are you as effective as you could?
