Event Information
About this Event
London Walking and Cycling Conference 2020 Webinar Series
This year's London Walking and Cycling Conference is taking place as a webinar series. Formerly the ‘Hackney Cycling Conference’, this event, which is organised in partnership with the City of London Corporation and sponsored by Steer, has become a fixture in the calendar of professionals, campaigners, and elected members eager to explore new ideas.
There has never been a more pertinent time to discuss the role of walking and cycling in our lives as the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has highlighted the importance of active travel for work, leisure and health. The webinar series will explore themes surrounding inequalities in mobility and accessible cities, implementing successful emergency measures, communicating with the public about emergency measures, as well as other interesting research, analysis, and case studies about cycling and walking.
Following the success of our first two webinars which focused on travelling to school during the pandemic and also walking and cycling whilst Black, we are now pleased to announce our third webinar. On 17 December 2020, the London Walking and Cycling Conference presents our third webinar of the series: “Consultation in the time of Covid-19: Lessons for the Future”.
We will be joined by the following speakers:
Richard Eason (Enfield Council) - Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhoods
David Sutanto (Steer) - Streetspace
Kirsty Hoyle (Transport for All)
