Event description

Description

Hate, intolerance, extremism and radicalisation are an ever-growing threat for London.

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime and Metropolitan Police Service have collaborated to organise a conference for young Londoners aged 14-18 on Wednesday 30th October from 4.30pm at City Hall in London Bridge.

We want you to shape how we deliver work which strengthens communities against extremism, encourages more young people to stand up to hate and intolerance, better protects vulnerable young Londoners from radicalisation and stops the spread of extremist propaganda.

You will hear from a survivor of terrorism, a young person who was radicalised by extremists, a well-known YouTube celebrity and several VIPs. You’ll also be given the opportunity to learn and engage with cutting edge technology and participate in workshops where you can really shape local delivery through your views and ideas.

If you want to make a difference in London, if you want to make our Capital safer from hate, intolerance, extremism and radicalisation then register your interest for this free event.

MOPAC and MPS will contact you to confirm your place 2 weeks before the event.

Arrival is from 4.30pm, where we will be serving refreshments before the session starts at 5.15pm.

The event will finish at 9.00pm and there will be an opportunity to network with the speakers and organisers afterwards.

Look forward to seeing you there!
