About this event
Join us for a thought-provoking evening with Dr Leo Pruimboom, a world-renowned clinical psychoneuroimmunologist, physiologist, and medical biochemist.
Dr Pruimboom has dedicated his life to developing Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology (CPNI) – an integrative, systems-based approach to health that views the human body as a unified, dynamic system where everything is connected, everywhere, all at once.
In this powerful conversation, we will explore one of the most pressing and under-recognised public health issues of our time: loneliness.
Together, we will consider:
- What is loneliness – and how is it different from simply being alone?
- What is the ultimate meaning of whole health?
- How does a coaching approach help us respond?
- How does loneliness lead to disease? What is the biological mechanism through which isolation impacts immune and inflammatory processes?
- Why are we so vulnerable to loneliness?
- In a world that increasingly values “me” over “we”, how do we rebuild connection and belonging?
This session will spotlight the pivotal role health coaches can play in recognising and addressing loneliness, and how the principles of Clinical PNI can inform and elevate coaching practice.
