About this event
It's the last of the COVID-19 love ayurveda tv's special live talks with the experts for now. We'll be back in the autumn.
Has Long Covid or Post Covid Syndrome impaired the quality of your life? It is baffling doctors across the world as the symptoms being reported are wide ranging and are lasting for more than 12 weeks after the virus has been contracted. Patients who received hospital treatment as well as those who did not even know they had contracted the virus are suffering.
As more people are coming forward with Long Covid, the worry is it could become the next burden to health providers. Symptoms include extreme fatigue, muscle pain, breathlessness, difficulty concentrating 'brain fog', ongoing cough. Other symptoms include difficulty sleeping, dizziness, joint pain, chest pain, depression, tinnitus, diarrhoea and loss of appetite, rashes and more.
Dr Prathima Nagesh MD (Ayu) returns to #loveayurvedatv by popular demand. This time she discusses how she is supporting people with Long Covid with Ayurveda and Yoga. Ayurveda is an ancient, comprehensive system of medicine which has been shown to be successful in treating chronic conditions. Dr Nagesh will present a couple of case studies and also give her expert Ayurvedic advice on how to deal with some of the most common symptoms.
Dr Nagesh’s qualifications and experience allows her to be fully conversant with western medical interventions as well pharmaceuticals, making her ideally suited to offer informed advice to support the care and wellbeing of her many at risk European clients.
Dr Prathima Nagesh runs Ayurvedic treatment centres at two locations in the London area. She is founder and director of Agni Health Care Ltd., which specialises in treating chronic conditions such as cancer and auto-immune diseases.
Qualified in Clinical Research at Harvard University, Dr Nagesh is also a senior lecturer at the College of Ayurveda (Milton Keynes), the Ahimsa Centre and Academy in Paris as well as the School Van Ayurveda in Gent. An international speaker, she is often asked to address European Health Conferences.
