Event description

Description

Can we design buildings with the ability to adapt to future social and technological changes? Can we make architecture with the ability to flex and last? Building today the heritage of the future, what should we do to assure a long-life span for new buildings, a flexibility for future uses and the lowest carbon emissions to create sustainable places? In this talk, we will revisit the concept of “Long life, loose fit, low energy”, coined in 1972 by the then RIBA President Alex Gordon, repositioning it in our current times.
