Join Runna and Maurten for an epic long run and dial in your race-day fueling strategy with supported pacing, on-course fueling, and expert tips for marathon prep.

Participants of this event will be able to:

⛽ Trial the same Maurten products that will be on-course at the TCS New York City Marathon in real training conditions

🏃 Simulate a marathon-style effort through rolling hills with pacer-led loops of Prospect Park (Options for 10-13.5 miles, with pace groups at 8min, 9:30min, 11min)

📓 Learn about fueling tips during a delicious post run brunch and learn led by a Maurten Ambassador

💖 Connect with fellow runners as you prepare for your upcoming race

As a bonus, every participant will also receive a piece of Runna merch to mark the occasion, and their very own Maurten gels to take home after the run to use as you train! Whether you’re building up for your next marathon, fine-tuning your long-run strategy, or simply looking to share miles with the community, this is the perfect NYC running experience.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring water or fuel?

Water and Maurten fuel will be provided at the start of every loop (roughly every 5K). If you will want water along the route, please bring a water bottle! We will be able to provide refills.

How long is the run?

Each lap is 3.35 miles, and participants will have the option to do anywhere from 3-4 loops (~10- ~13.5 miles) dependent on estimated finish time. Participants may stop the run early and meet back at the Picnic House at any time.

Do I need to be registered for a race to participate in this event?

Anyone is welcome to come to this event regardless of if you're training for a Marathon! No race registration is needed. Just buy a ticket for this event through Eventbrite.

Do I need to stay for both the run and brunch?

Please try your best to stay until 11:45am when the educational session finishes - breakfast will be provided starting at 10:45am. The event will end at 12pm.

Will there be bathrooms available?

There are bathrooms available at the Picnic House, and public restrooms around the loop in the park.

I have a dietary restriction, can I still get breakfast?

Please let us know any dietary restrictions when you sign up and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Will there be pacers on course?

We will have three pace groups available: 8:00 min, 9:30 min, and 11:00 min. You are welcome to run with a pace group, on your own, or with friends!

Will there be bag check available?

Yes, bag check will be available.
