We will be working at Long Shaw Wood.
You will need to meet us at the Chiltern Rangers depot at 9.30am and travel in our vehicle so please make sure you book early as spaces are limited. We are based at Fennels Road, High Wycombe. The nearest postcode is HP11 1SL and there is a pay and display car park right next door.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:
Our beloved Long Shaw Wood, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), yearns for some well-deserved affection. We will be focusing on woodland ride management, removing overhanging trees and of course, litter picking!
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
9.30: Arrival at depot
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13:30: Arrival back to depot
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain.
Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
