Description

Early bird tickets available - 30% off for a limited period!

This course uses evidence from cognitive science to outline teaching methods that have been shown to improve memory retention and recall. We will show how better curriculum planning can improve the depth and scope of student knowledge, and summarise the most effective study and revision strategies for students.

The target audience for this course is secondary curriculum leaders, subject leaders, and classroom teachers.

NB: We are keen that schools in the Norwich Opportunity Area do not see the course fee as a barrier to participating, and are working on possible avenues of support. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Day One – Wednesday 21 February 9am-3pm:
Discussion of the key issues facing students, teachers and leaders; introduction to the research evidence and consideration of how this applies within our contexts; action planning.

Day Two – Wednesday 18 April 9am-3pm:
Reflection and review; in-depth look at key research evidence; evaluation and refinement of action plans.

Day Three – Wednesday 20 June 9am-3pm:
Evaluation, feedback and next steps.
