Event description

Description

Making the most of your farm for business and the environment

Soft rush infestation is a problem for many land managers that is worsening as the climate changes. Rushes can take over grass/clover swards, with knock-on effects for livestock productivity and profit margins. A variety of management practices can be used; this session will explore several of them in a range of situations, in order to identify how to effectively manage rushes in the long-term.

Lunch is included and tickets must be booked in advance.

If you’re a farmer, crofter or land manager, book your free place now: it’s open to all but we’re expecting this session to fill up quickly, and booking is absolutely essential. Use this online form, or if you prefer you can call Sarah on 07800 841 822, or email sallison@soilassociation.org.

Funding is provided through SRDP Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund (which is jointly funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union) with partner funding from Scottish Water and RSPB Scotland and Farm Advisory Service. (This event is part of a wider KTIF programme, Farming With Nature.)
