Visual thinking is an important medium in our culture and often takes the form of folktales and myths. Humans are hardwired to listen and learn from stories, we are all born with the ability to communicate visually. Therefore, developing this is simply a matter of learning and practice. The purpose of this workshop is to offer startup community a space to explore, develop and express their startup ideas using sketchnotes.
Visualising is part of a collection of skills that have to do with exploring and expressing ideas. It is often easier to think and maintain focus when visualising. Crossing multiple domains from brainstorming to product design sketchnotes can be used to communicate and express complex thoughts. Thus, competency in sketching is a valuable tool for today’s startup community.
Attendees are not required to have a background in sketching, sketchnoting or illustration, and beginners are encouraged to attend.
