About this event
Look Music Forum is back! We have a new name, Look Music Group and each week we’ll be welcoming a new guest musician.
Our group will meet every other month and we’ll be hosting an exciting mix of special guests, an opportunity to perform for each other, chat about music and hang out with other musically minded young people.
In June we’ll be welcoming Sirine Jahangir. Sirine is a singer and she plays piano and guitar - you might be familiar with her show-stopping performance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020!
Sirine’s musical career continues and she’s now a student at the prestigious BRIT School of Performing and Creative Arts.
Sirine will be talking about why she loves music with our LOOK mentor and host Sarah Bayley. Sirine will discuss why music is so important to her, her influences, learning her craft and much more. She’s even promised to perform for us!
The second half of our Look Music Group will be a chance for everyone to share their musicality and exchange stories and fun.
Sirine Jahangir:
Sirine was seven years old when she wrote her first song and soon after discovered piano and guitar. After losing her sight at eleven, she says “it went from being a heart- felt hobby to a need for it to be a lifelong career”.
Following her hit performance on Britain's Got Talent (this was the first time she had played in front of a large audience), Sirine went on to give a Tedx talk and appear at the Coca-Cola Festival. As well as her studies at the BRIT school, Sirine is often invited to speak at schools and continues to write her own music.
