Event description

Description

Journeys Festival International Manchester proudly presents Look Up, a collaborative arts project between British Turner prize nominee Mark Titchner and United for Change, a refugee and asylum seeker led advocacy group.

Over the last three months, Mark has worked closely with refugee and asylum seeker artists at creative workshops, facilitated by Pathway Arts. From this collaboration, Mark Titichner has created visually striking and text based artworks that contain personal messages of the refugee experience. Presented in large scale, these text pieces give visibility to Manchester’s refugee and asylum seeker community.

The Art Walks, that are included in the Journeys Festival programme, are guided walks which offer to the audience the opportunity to learn more about the stories behind the Look Up artworks.

Wednesday 4th October // 18:00 – 19:00

Join us for an art tour guided by Look Up artist Mark Titchner to learn about the stories behind his work displayed around Manchester city centre.
