When Nokia stopped selling handsets direct to consumers in 2011 they wanted to develop a digital proposition to help drive sales of their devices through their partner’s e-commerce channels. In 2011 they started working with FusePump to develop what is now branded the ‘Buy Now’ solution, which essentially takes the traffic that comes to branded domains and refers it out to retail partners as qualified online sales leads. Jonathan from Microsoft and Lee from FusePump are going to run through the journey they have been on to roll this out globally across Nokia (now Microsoft Mobile Devices) over the last 3 years

Andrew McClelland, Chief Operations & Policy Officer, IMRG - Andrew has a background spanning IT, Telecommunications and Distribution in commercial, strategic and marketing roles. In addition, spending several years trading agricultural commodities domestically and internationally, Andrew has a keen interest in trends, forecasting and industry development. Having been with IMRG for over 10 years, Andrew has witnessed the rapid growth of e-retail first hand and has responsibilities including coordinating IMRG regulatory response activities, events, forums and projects. Areas of interest include legal, e-crime, e-payments, international market development, interactive marketing and industry reporting. These activities include presenting to a wide variety of interested parties on the development of e-retail. Responsible for key partnership arrangements, Andrew is currently participating in / managing a variety of projects involving major industry players, Government and stakeholder groups.
Jim Rudall, Sales & Marketing Director, MoPowered - Jim joined the MoPowered Group in 2013 from the global mobile technology specialist Usablenet where he was initially responsible for Business Development in the UK and latterly headed up the growth of the Nordic market. Jim’s main responsibilities at the MoPowered Group are establishing the value proposition and go to market strategy for MoPowered’s various service offerings to retailers of any size, as well as recruiting and managing the sales, marketing and channel teams and creating strategic alliances to grow the business. Prior to entering the mobile industry, Jim founded and grew an IT business development agency over six years and before that worked in sales for global marketing services firm Experian.
Peter Simpson, Chief Marketing Officer, Reevoo - Peter joined Reevoo in July 2012 to drive the marketing effectiveness and build its channel and alliances programmes worldwide. Since then, Peter has led Reevoo’s successful re-branding, confirming its position as a leader in enterprise grade Voice of the Customer solutions. Peter’s time at the marketing helm at Reevoo has been an exciting period for the company, which included being named in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, as Britain’s top 100 private technology, media and telecoms companies.
Jonathan Lewis-Jones, Head of Optimisation, Microsoft Mobile Devices
Jonathan heads up the Optimisation Team at Microsoft Mobile Devices (formerly Nokia Devices + Services) who are responsible for deploying, managing and optimising their unique e-commerce proposition across 25 of their key markets. He has been with Nokia since 2008 where he’s held various digital, content and services marketing roles and has played a key part in establishing it’s global digital marketing function. He started his career in brand advertising at LOWE back in 2000 where he managed a variety of global and local accounts including Merrill Lynch HSBC, Electrolux, Braun and Orange.
Lee Cash, Founder & Sales Director, FusePump
Lee founded FusePump after realising that the capability to access, manipulate and integrate product offer data had a growing number of applications. It seemed that retailers didn’t have a good handle on their product feeds and FusePump initially focused their technology in this area, working with customers such as Argos, Tesco, John Lewis, O2 and TUI in their performance marketing channels. The work with Nokia was unique at the time, with FusePump winning the pitch to build their “referral engine” in 2011 following a recommendation from one of their performance marketing agencies. Lee now leads the Sales for FusePump’s Brand E-commerce division, with a focus on BuyNow and E-commerce Intelligence solutions for brands and manufacturers.
David Woods, Sales Director, SLI Systems - David is an experienced E-commerce and Customer UX consultant with over 12 years industry experience. His journey into the web industry began with award winning CMS and Digital Marketing provider Intergage, where David specialised in helping companies design websites with optimal UX and implementing key Digital Marketing strategies. More recently David has been leading the Sales and Marketing division of a global organisation that supplied Digital Marketing services to international E-commerce organisations helping them leverage new Social and Marketing technologies. David joined SLI in early 2014 after taking a sabbatical that saw him travel through New Zealand and Australia.
Rebecca Glenapp, Co-Founder, www.lux-fix.com - Rebecca Glenapp launched LUX FIX with Alice Hastings-Bass in the summer of 2012. The aim behind LUX FIX was to build a business that offered an alternative to mass-market brands, working with independent designers who provide the quality in materials and design without the normal "designer" price tag. They now have over 250 top boutique designers on the site and have launched e-shops for the Telegraph, Independent and Evening Standard fashion teams. Before co-founding LUX FIX, Rebecca worked as a senior online consultant for the Aston Group on Facebook's emerging market strategy. She previously led business development for digital start-ups Idio (digital publishing) and BillMonitor (Ofcom mobile price comparison). Rebecca also sits on the Post Office Advisory Council board and writes for The Guardian Media Network and The Huffington Post.
Joseph Ballard, Director of Business Consulting, hybris - Joe leads the business consulting practice at hybris. He has a long background in international e-commerce and eBusiness across a range of sectors (fashion, music, electronics, beauty, mobile…) and for companies such as Nokia, Arcadia and AS Watson. At AS Watson, he recently led the global hybris eCommerce implementation program across Europe and Asia.
