Event description
A living well event for patients living with and beyond a haematological condition in the North of England.

About this Event

This conference is designed for patients and their carer or significant other. The event is open to patients who have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions within the last 2 years and have completed their initial therapy: Myeloma, Lymphoma, Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia, Acute Leukaemia, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

This event is the 6th Haematology Living Well Patient Conference organised by the North East Haematology Nurses Group. To date 1,200 patients & carers have benefited from our events. All our conferences have been free of charge to attend thanks to contributions from haematology charities and local hospital trusts. All previous events have been formally evaluated with positive feedback from attendees.

Please note places are limited to a patient attending with one carer, and we ask that you both register for catering requirements. This event is free of charge to attend, however should you wish to make a contribution to the running costs of the conference this would be much appreciated.

In order to make these events a success it is vital we gather your feedback. On the day of the event we will provide you with evaluation forms to gather your thoughts on the speakers so we can continue to improve with each event. We will then send you a brief questionaire to complete approximately one month after the event .

Please speak to your Clinical Nurse Specialist for more information or if you have registered and are no longer able to make the event.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!

We are pleased to offer free, on site car parking for any guests using our conference and banqueting facilities. The car parking areas are accessed from Barrack Road.

At the traffic lights, turn into the ground and drive straight forward, past a multi-deck car park on your left. You will then see a sign for “Conference & Banqueting Car Parking”.

Follow the arrow down the road, as it curves to the left and it will lead you into a multistorey car park. Guests are free to park on Level One only. Levels Two and above are not owned by ourselves so parking is not permitted.

Should the unlikely event of level one of the multi-storey being full, guests are asked to use the pay and display multi-deck car park as previously mentioned. There is a cost of 70p per hour here.

Please note, all other parking spaces in the ground, other than those mentioned above on level one of the multi-storey, are owned by the City Council and you require either a permit or a ticket to park there.

Newcastle United or the North East Haematology Nurses Group will not be held responsible for any parking tickets received by guests whilst attending events here.

Should guests require disabled parking, the City Council bays are available on the outskirts of the multi-storey, on the ground level. However it is possible for us to make other arrangements for disabled guests, given prior notice. Please speak to your nurses specialist if further information is required.
