Come and join us for this exciting free conference celebrating 100 years of learning disability nursing.

About this Event

This conference held in conjunction with St Anne's Community Services and sponsored by Geometric Results Inc, has been designed for learning disability nurses, learning disability nursing students, as well as people with an interest in learning disability nursing. With one eye on the history of our wonderful profession this conference will explore the key issues relevant to practice today and in the future, including:

  • The value of, and values in learning disability nursing
  • Lived experiences
  • Developing research and evidence based practice
  • End of life support for people with a learning disability
  • Sexual health needs of people with a learning disability
  • Oral histories of people with a learning disability

The conference will also feature a networking lunch (provided) with services and stakeholders from across the West Yorkshire region.

Attending the conference and reflecting on your learning will contribute to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD ) and revalidation requirements. Please note parking at the venue is limited.
